Hi Amy, it’s mostly the added sodium. The flaxseed is minimal when you break it down into 1 tablespoon servings but the sodium can still add up to being more than Dr. Fuhrman’s recommended 400 mg daily!

Hi Ari, liquid aminos is different from coconut aminos (which is what I think you may be thinking of with the sugar concern). If you want you can just season with regular salt.

Hi Kevin,

It’s low sodium compared to store-bought hot sauces like Tobasco. The sodium comes from the liquid aminos and there is a bit in the jarred roasted red peppers too!
