Join me as I blog my way through Dr. Furhman’s Eat to Live plan again, (yup I did this before and lost over 21 pounds)! My goal is to reach my ideal weight by doing the 6 week Eat to Live plan by Dr. Fuhrman until I reach that magic number! I will be posting the meals I eat with the goal of getting an archive of 100 days of Nutritarian meals on the blog! If you are currently on the plan we would love to hear from you, please comment and post pics below! For more Nutritarian motivation check out my Eat to Live Pinterest board or on my Instagram account–I know how tough this new way of eating can be and am happy to help in any way I can!
Breakfast: 1/2 rolled oats cooked in water, topped with apple and no sugar added cranberry apple “jelly” (simply add 1 diced apple and 1/2 cup whole fresh cranberries to a sauce pot with 1 cup water and 1 tbsp lemon juice, cook over medium heat until a jelly-like consistency is reached; chill in the refrigerator overnight if possible). Sprinkle of raw chia seeds.
Lunch: Mexican Salad (see recipe here) topped with Trader Joe’s Roasted Garlic salsa (lower sodium).
Dinner: (see first pic for salad) Mixed baby greens with carrots, cucumbers, 1 tbsp. raisins, grape tomatoes, red onions and 1/2 ounce raw Spanish peanuts. Baked sweet potato topped with black beans, red peppers and green onions.
Dessert: 1 cup fresh pineapple

So happy i found your blog!!! I did the Nutritarian diet last year and lost 43 lbs, but my old ways crept back in and I gained most of them back : I started Nutritarian again yesterday and am super committed to the change for good! Very happy to find recipes and additional info – thanks! 🙂
Hi Brittney! So happy you found the blog and I’m so happy you’re back ON!!! Nutritional excellence is hard, the important thing is to never give up!
Is there a limit on how much salad dressing you are allowed on your salad?
Hi Diana,
It depends on the dressing. If you’re going nutritarian you’ll want to make sure you’re making oil-free low sodium dressings. For bean-based dressings or hummus I’d say 1/4 to 1/3 cup per salad. For nut based dressings I’d say no more than 3 tbsp. per salad.
